If you’re from one of the restricted regions, please transfer your tokens to a different wallet before the 10th of April. Gate.io’s hot wallet will be whitelisted until the 11th to disable withdrawal tax.
In this tutorial, we will reflect upon the steps to transfer your funds from Gate.io to Bitmart and MetaMask. Bitmart is among the few exchanges that allow US residents to trade cryptocurrency. US is among the restricted regions according to Gate.io’s TOS, making Bitmart a great alternative to trade EMPIRE. Meanwhile, MetaMask is a hot wallet without any restrictions, making it one of the best options for storing and trading your digital assets.
Getting your Wallet Address on Bitmart
Step 1: Set up a Bitmart account and complete the KYC. For security purposes, you will be asked to send an ID.
Step 2: On Bitmart, navigate to assets and search for Empire Token. Select and choose the “Deposit” option.
Search for “Empire Token” and click Deposit
Choose your source of fund, then click [submit]
Step 3: Hover your cursor over your ‘Wallet’ address and copy.

Withdrawing Empire Token from Gate.io to Bitmart
Step 1: Log in to your Gate.io account and go to “Wallet” – “Spot Account.” On the “Spot Account” tab, search for the coin that you want to withdraw, which in our case is Empire Token, then click on “Withdraw.”
In this step, you should search for Empire Token, and then, click Withdraw.
Step 2: On the Withdraw page, make sure that you’re on the “To Address” tab and EMPIRE is the selected coin code. Then, choose BSC/BEP20 as the chain and paste the wallet address that we just copied from Bitmart in the first section of this tutorial.
Step 3: Input the amount of EMPIRE that you want to withdraw and type in your fund password. Request for an SMS code, email code, and TOTP/Gate authenticator code (if TOTP has been set up) to verify the transaction. Then, click on “Submit request.”
Step 4: After clicking on “Submit request,” you will be asked to check all information and confirm the withdrawal.
Step 5: You can track the withdrawal status in “Recent Withdrawals.” Withdrawals that are being processed can still be canceled by the user.
Withdrawing Empire Token from Gate.io to MetaMask
Step 1: Start by Downloading MetaMask. Once downloaded, follow the tutorial on how to set up your wallet. See the third section of this article. Don’t forget to write your seed phrase on a piece of paper and place it in a safe spot.
Step 2: Your MetaMask will connect by default on the Ethereum Network, but we’re not using that now. Instead, connect and add the BNB Chain (also known as Binance Smart Chain) to your MetaMask by following this quick tutorial (Section 4).

Step 3: Once your MetaMask wallet has been set up, copy your wallet address by clicking on it.
Step 4: Once your wallet address is copied, go over to Gate.io and navigate to “Wallet” – “Spot Account.” On the “Spot Account” tab, search for the coin that you want to withdraw, which in our case is Empire Token, then click on “Withdraw.”
Step 5: On the Withdraw page, make sure that you’re on the “To Address” tab and EMPIRE is the selected coin code. Then, choose BSC/BEP20 as the chain and paste the wallet address that we just copied from MetaMask.

As you can see, it’s easy to transfer your funds from one exchange’s wallet to another. Just ensure to always type the correct info, especially wallet addresses as a simple mistake can make you lose your funds.
